Like the cover of the book above “What do you know for sure?”, I have written several publications. Some readers are students, some are teachers and some are people who just may have questions and want answers. My other writings focus upon the art of ministry and the art of living. Communication occurs in a multitude of ways, but I am still one who likes to hold the book in my hands and mark its pages. Please see the Current Books tab for more information.

I am a Methodist minister presently serving Living Grace Methodist Church in Columbus GA. I am married to Sheila Davis Cooper and have Eddie and Charlotte as our children. Charlotte is married to Jason MacDonald and has Ellison and Emma, our granddaughters.

I attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, and Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta.

Since 1972, I have served churches across South Georgia: Pittman Park UMC in Statesboro, Crawford County Circuit, East Macon UMC, Christ UMC in Albany, Christ UMC in Warner Robins, Waycross First UMC, Central UMC in Fitzgerald, St. Paul UMC in Columbus and Now Living Grace Methodist.

I have had the privilege of studying and visiting every place mentioned in the New Testament and most of the places of the Old Testament in over twenty five years of traveling in the Holy Land. I have also traveled extensively in Western and Eastern Europe. One of my joys is opening the world up to those traveling with me. The best way to go anywhere is still the same: in good company.

It has been my joy over the years, as a pastor, to encourage and strengthen people who are going through the fire, to encourage and inspire people who have a dream or vision they want to pursue, and to encourage with Christ-like love those suffering a loss or ordeal in their life. The call I heard as a nineteen year old student has been “to love God’s people and to be His man.” I hope to continue being of service and help through the offerings of my website. If you have other questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely becoming ancestors together,

Buddy Cooper
